Board

The Kennett Consolidated School District (KCSD) Board is composed of nine voting elected officials and a non-voting member, the Superintendent. Board Members are designated by law to administer the District’s school system on behalf of the State of Pennsylvania. 

Board members attend informational workshops, serve on committees and set the direction of the District by voting at public board meetings. 

KCSD’s strength is its bilingual and multicultural community. In alignment with the District’s vision and mission, the Board charges our administration to build on that strength with an educational system that enables all of our students to succeed, no matter their origin or primary language.

Agendas, Minutes, Policies and Video

KCSD uses BoardDocs to hold all information related to our Board of School Director Meetings including agendas, minutes and recordings.  All approved policies are also stored on this platform that is separate from the KCSD website.  

Agendas are published on the Friday before Monday Board meetings.  Minutes from meetings are posted the following month after a meeting after they are approved by the Board. 

If you speak and read another language other than English, Board Docs webpages (not including attachments) can be translated into other languages using a desktop / laptop computer or iPhone / Android device.  See instructions for that process below.

Translation Instructions: Accessing Board Docs in Your Language

Board Doc platform is a separate platform from our kcsd.org websites.  Reading content in a language other than English requires the visitor to change their default language on their device. 

Changing Default Language: (iPhone)

Go to Settings > General > Language & Region and tap Add Language. Adding languages enables the feature in Safari. 

Changing Default Language: (Android)

  • Go to Settings > System > Languages & input > Languages, then tap Add a language, select your desired language, and drag it to the top of the list to set it as default


Language Translation Instructions in Google Chrome on Desktop/Laptop

Web pages within BoardDocs can be translated into multiple languages ​​via Google Translate on a desktop computer's Chrome browser.

To translate:

  • Right-click on the screen and select Translate 
  • Use the vertical three-dot menu symbol in Google Translate for more language options.
  • This feature may not work for certain attachments.

Currently, you can watch the Board or Committee meetings with closed captioning in English (text versions of the audio content of a video). Closed captioning is available in languages other than English, for the recordings only. Please follow the instructions below to turn on closed captioning if needed.
