The Kennett Consolidated School District is committed to transparency, accountability, and the responsible stewardship of public resources. This page provides access to the District's annual budgets, audited financial statements, and other key financial reports so our community can better understand how resources are invested to support student learning.

Each year, the District develops a comprehensive operating budget that aligns available financial resources with the educational priorities established by the Board of School Directors and the District's Strategic Plan. The budget is prepared by the Chief Financial Officer and District administration through a collaborative planning process, reviewed publicly by the Board's Finance Committee, and ultimately adopted by the Board of School Directors.

Pennsylvania's annual budget process begins each fall with financial planning and revenue projections, includes the adoption of a preliminary budget as required by state law, and concludes with the adoption of a final budget before the fiscal year begins on July 1. Throughout the year, the District also prepares audited financial statements and other required reports to demonstrate fiscal accountability and compliance with state and federal requirements.
