• or open a web browser and enter the following URL into the address search bar: https://skyward.iscorp.com/KennettConsPAStuSTs#5
• You will be presented with the following login screen:

• Complete the following steps indicated on the picture:
  • Enter your username
  • Enter your password
  • Click the green sign-in button
• Please note the yellow boxes [marked with ‘A’] in the picture above. These arrows allow you to switch to and from the Student/Staff login screen to the Family Access login screen.
• If this is your first time signing in you should have gotten an email from ‘skyward@kcsd.org’ with subject line “Family Access Account Information”. This email contains your username [see ‘A’ in next image] as well as a link to setup your password [see ‘B’].

 

• To get your username or reset your password click the “Forgot your Username or Password?” link under the Sign In button on the login page [below image: box ‘B’].

• You will get the following sent to the email address we have on file for you:

 

Click the link in the email to reset your password.

 

 

 

• Complete the following steps indicated on the picture to finish resetting your password.
  • Enter a password you will remember
  • Enter the same password again
  • Click the green reset password button
• You will then be returned to the sign-in page to login using the password you just set.

 

Login to Skyward Qmlativ

• Click on Online Contact Information Form

• Update Guardian 1 Information
• Contact information must be updated for each student in the family

• Complete the same steps to update Guardian 2 information
• Check to verify that you have answered all questions

• Then click Submit Form

 

Login to Skyward Qmlativ

• Click on Medical Update Form

• A medical update form must be completed for each student in your family
• Update medical information for each student
• Select Complete and Next

• Select “I Agree” and electronically sign and date the form

• Select Complete and Review

• Check the box to confirm and click Submit Form

 

• Navigate to your App store to install the Skyward Mobile Access app for Android or iOS then launch the Skyward Mobile Access App
• If you are using an Android device, you see the Add an Account screen
• If you are using an iOS device, you see the Locate District screen
• Select the district search option to locate the district you wish to set up an account for
• Step Information:
  • You can choose to search using the location, postal code, or district name. If you choose to search using location, the results you see are determined by your device's current location within a 50-mile radius. If you choose to search using a postal code, the results you see are determined based on the postal code you enter within a 50-mile radius.
  • If you choose to search using district name, you can enter text to limit the results you see.
• This process follows the "By School District" for Android and "by District Name" for iOS options.
• Your username and password are the same for the app as for your web-based Skyward account

To sign up for text messages from your district and your school, you must use the same mobile device number that you recorded in your Skyward Account.

To sign up for texts, using your mobile device, text "Y" to 67587.

Teachers use Schoology to post their classroom materials online; provide a safe forum for students to discuss their ideas and collaborate on projects; and to assign and collect homework electronically. It helps students stay organized and it keeps the class connected.

A Schoology Parent Account gives you access to:

• The classes your child is enrolled in.
• Your child’s upcoming assignments.
• School and class announcements.

Schoology makes it easy for parents to stay involved in their children’s education.

Having a Parent account in Schoology is actually like having two accounts:

• Your personal account
  • with your own name and information
• Your Child Activity view
  •  From here, you can view Schoology from your child’s perspective, and see what he or she sees, and receive updates about his or her activity.

 

The first time you log into Schoology, you may want to set up some of your account settings to make sure you get the most out of Schoology. Start by clicking on the arrow in the upper-right corner, next to your name, and then select your child’s name to switch into his or her account. The check
mark in this drop-down menu indicates which account you are currently in.

 

To set up your notifications: Click Settings from the drop-down menu in the upper right hand corner. From the account settings area, click into the Notifications tab.

Follow these steps in your own account to configure your own settings. Follow these steps  in your child view to control how Schoology contacts you about your child’s school activities.

Setting up your parent email digest

The Schoology Parent Email Digest is a brief summary of your child’s activities delivered
right to your inbox. Here, you can opt to receive it on a daily or weekly basis.

A Parent Email Digest contains information such as courses your child is enrolled in as well
as overdue and upcoming assignments. Please be aware that although some teachers may sync grades from Schoology to Skyward, you should always refer to Skyward for your child’s grades and attendance reports.

Depending on the settings configured by your child’s teachers and school administrators,
an example of a Parent Email Digest might look like this:

 

The Account Settings page is where you can do things like change your password or update. your email address. You can also determine your landing page when you login to Schoology.

To go to the Account Settings page, click the arrow in the upper-right corner and select Settings from the menu. Scroll down to Set Your Default Account.

This determines the first page you see when you log in to your Schoology account. You can toggle into your child’s account at any time, to stay updated on his or her schoolwork and activity.
From the Default Account menu:

• Select Main Account if you would like to see your own personal account when you log in.
• Select Child’s Activity if you want to automatically start in your child’s account when you log in.

After logging in, you can see the top navigation bar from anywhere in Schoology. From this navigation bar, you can navigate to the three main areas of Schoology: Courses, Groups, and Resources. You can return home at any time by clicking Schoology in the left corner.

 

When you are in your own Schoology account (not your child’s), icons for your own calendar, messages, connections and notifications display in the top navigation bar, on the right. Any time someone sends you a message, or does something that pertains to you or your child’s school, it’s easily accessible in the top-right corner of your screen. Everything is chronologically ordered and clickable to make managing them simple. You can also click the arrow to the right of your name to view your own user profile.

Click on the arrow in the upper-right corner of your account and select your child’s name to view his or her activity.

From the home page, you can quickly view specific information about your child’s
Schoology activity:

1. The Student Activity area in the center of the page displays your child’s recent submission and grade. Attendance data is not maintained in Schoology.
   1. Please be aware that although some teachers may sync grades from Schoology to Skyward, you should always refer to Skyward for your child’s grades and attendance reports.
2. Toggle into Enrollments in the same area to see a list of the courses your child is currently enrolled in, along with his or her grade. If the teacher or administrator has chosen not to display the grade while the course is in progress, you will see a blank value (as in the grade column above). Click on an individual course to see grades received on assignments, tests, and discussions from that course.
3. The Recent Grades/Attendance area lists graded assignments, tests/quizzes, discussions, and attendance marks for the student. To view the graded items and attendance marks, click the item you'd like to view.
4. The Overdue section displays a list of course materials your child did not turn in by the due date.
5. The Upcoming section displays a list of your child’s upcoming assignments and events.
6. Courses: You can see a list of your child’s current courses. Click the course name to navigate to the course profile as your child views it.
7. Groups: You can see a list of your child’s Schoology Groups. Groups can be used for a variety of activities, from school projects to extracurricular teams and clubs.
8. Grades: Depending on the settings in place at your child’s school, this menu provides access to view the following:
   1. Grade Report: Review your child’s grades for all courses.
   2. Mastery: If your child’s school aligns materials to standard and learning objectives, you can check your child’s progress in this area.
   3. Attendance: Review your child’s attendance for all courses.
   4. Remember: Although some teachers may sync grades from Schoology to Skyward, you should always refer to Skyward for your child’s grades and attendance reports.

9. Calendar: Click to view a calendar of past and upcoming events and assignments. To find out more information regarding a particular event, place your cursor over the title.  A clue tip displays with the event type (assignment, test/quiz, event), the event's course or group, and the student name. Click the event to display profile information in a pop-up window.

Note: There is no Messages icon in the Child Activity view.  Messages to your child are
private and are not viewable from a parent account.

alkingPoints is a two-way, multilingual family engagement messaging platform that allows your child's teachers to communicate directly with you.  TalkingPoints translates communication in 100+ languages using a combination of AI and human translation.  Teachers message families in English via mobile app or web browser and messages are automatically translated to the language the parent chooses.  Teachers can communicate one-on-one or send whole-class announcements. 

Families receive and send messages in their home language via SMS text message or the optional, free TalkingPoints for Parents Mobile App available at the App Store or at Google Play.  Families can communicate in their home language and it is received by the teacher in English.

In order for families to successfully use TalkingPoints, they must have a primary cell phone number listed in the Skyward Family Access Portal. You must have a primary cell number in TalkingPoints to access the platform.

If you want to receive TalkingPoints messages via text, you do not have do do anything.  You will receive messages via text from your classroom based on your cell phone number.  Carrier rates apply.  You may not initially recognize the number when you receive the text; please make sure you save the contact in your contacts on your phone.

If you prefer, you can download the TalkingPoints app for your phone.  With the app, all TalkingPoints messages go to one place and it is convenient if you have multiple children in multiple classes/schools.  The app can also read your messages via an audio feature and allows for "likes" and delivered receipts.  Simply download the app, choose your preferred language, and find your classroom.
