KCSD Announces Public Review of Revised Acceptable Use Policy

Kennett Square, PA – [July 8, 2024] – The Kennett Consolidated School District is pleased to announce that a revised draft of the District Acceptable Use Policy is now posted and available for public review and feedback for 30 days, starting Monday, July 8, 2024.

The updated policy includes new guidelines on the use of personal devices, such as cell phones, recognizing their educational benefits while allowing teachers the discretion to manage their use in the classroom, as well as guidelines, expectations, and responsibilities for students, teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders when using AI tools within the school environment.

We invite all members of the community, including parents, students, and staff, to review the revised policy and provide their input by using the feedback form. The draft will be accessible on the district’s website, and hard copies will be available at the District Office during regular business hours.

Feedback can be submitted online via the AUP Feedback form or in writing at the District Office. The public review period will end on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 after which the School Board will consider all comments before finalizing the policy.
