Our District
The Kennett Consolidated School District (KCSD) is a Public School District serving approximately 4,000 K-12 students in the southeastern part of Chester County via six schools spanning nearly 750,000 square feet. In addition, KCSD boasts its one-of-a-kind Legacy Fields Complex, the largest contiguous synthetic turf field in the State of Pennsylvania.
Political subdivisions existing within the District are the Borough of Kennett Square, Kennett Township, New Garden Township and a portion of East Marlborough Township.
A bright future begins for all at the Mary D. Lang Kindergarten Center. Then, students in first through fifth grade attend Bancroft, Greenwood or New Garden Elementary School before reuniting again at Kennett Middle School (KMS) and Kennett High School (KHS).
At KCSD, we’re particularly proud of our multicultural community. Forty-five percent identify as Hispanic. Our multilingual learners hail from thirteen countries alone– Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, Venezuela and Panama.*
And, while excellence in education is a century-old tradition, at KCSD we do not rest on our laurels. Together with our professional public educators, parents and partners, we’re busy building a 21st century educational experience for all. Every one of our students is on a journey to succeed in the world– and it’s our job to help them.
