STEM Night 2026

 With nearly 50 years of experience, Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research provides compassionate and professional care to roughly 4,000 injured and orphaned native wild birds annually. We are also an oiled wildlife response team, washing and rehabilitating any native species affected by contaminants, both nationally and internationally. New Garden Flying Field (N57) is a general aviation airport with a very active flight school, maintenance shop, and hosts exciting events throughout the year. We will have a display of our Future Aviators Summer Camp, display of drones, information on flight training, and upcoming event information like our 2026 Air Show.

The Stroud Water Research Center is a local non-profit organization dedicated to advancing knowledge and stewardship of freshwater systems through global research, education, and watershed restoration. We’ll have live stream critters to see and other fun water-related activities!
 

The Kennett Education Foundation (KEF) is a community-based, non-profit foundation committed to supporting and enriching the educational experience for the Kennett Consolidated School District. They provide education grants to KCSD teachers and staff as well as 45 scholarships for graduating seniors.

Demon Robotics is a competitive team full of problem solvers, critical thinkers, and innovators. Every January, First Robotics Competition (FRC) releases a game that thousands of teams will participate in during the upcoming season. We then spend the next couple of months planning, calculating, collaborating, building and rebuilding as many times as needed to create a functional robot that we are proud of. During the competition season, we compete on an alliance of three robots to hopefully score more game points than the opposing alliance. The competition atmosphere is full of strategizing, teamwork, and fun!

Girls Who Code is an organization that aims to empower girls to take interest and explore STEM. We use various tactics and activities to provide young girls with knowledge of what STEM is and what it can do for them in life. We'll have coding games and activities to show how cool STEM can be! 
 

The Chester County Astronomical Society (CCAS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and enjoyment of astronomy for the general public. The Society offers star parties throughout the year, astronomy classes, speakers at schools and organizations throughout Chester County, and monthly meetings. The CCAS team at this event will have an engagement table about astronomy as well as astronomers outside with telescopes for public viewing, weather permitting.

The Chester County Parks and Preservation table will feature literature and maps for the Chester County park system.  It will also include some give away items for the students. The Chester County park system consists of 6 parks: Nottingham, Wolf’s Hollow, Hibernia, Springton Manor Farm, Warwick, and Blackrock Reserve as well as the Chester Valley Trail, Schuykill River Trail, Struble Trail and the system continues to grow.

 Kennett ShroomBotics is a student-led robotics team where students design, build, and program robots while learning teamwork, problem-solving, and real-world STEM skills—all while having fun.

 The Kennett Trails Alliance seeks to connect the Kennett community to its natural beauty while promoting health, safety, a respect for the environment and a sense of community, through multiple projects and initiatives, including the creation of the Kennett Greenway, a 10-12 mile loop through Kennett.

The Pennsylvania Computer & Technology Museum, which will open summer of 2026, is home to a world-class collection of over 300 vintage computers, including the largest known collection of Analog Computers in the world. The Research Library has thousands of pages of rare, unique and historically significant documents dating back over 250 years. 
 

Join us for The Science Guys show. In this show, students explore light, sound, and the color spectrum through exciting rainbows and lights! We learn about waves with our giant slinky, and test out the strength of our laser to pop a balloon! Shows will run at 6:10, 6:40, 7:05 and 7:30. The 6:40 show will be in both English and Spanish!

KACS serves neighbors in Southern Chester County by providing food, emergency assistance, and educational workshops that help families maintain stability and work toward long-term self-sufficiency. Our mission is to meet immediate needs while supporting pathways that help end the cycle of poverty.

White Clay Creek Preserve, designated by Congress as a National Wild and Scenic River, is located in southern Chester County, three miles north of Newark, Delaware.  As the only state-run preserve in the Pennsylvania State Park system, White Clay offers many outstanding scenic views of the White Clay Creek, as well as much wildlife and many low impact recreational opportunities.  The preserve is free to enter and offers both public and private environmental and recreation programs for people of all ages.

The 4-H Youth Development program based in Chester County empowers all youth to reach their fullest potential. From its strong agricultural roots serving rural youth to expanding its reach serving urban and suburban youth, the 4-H program continues to provide hands-on learning in agriculture, civic engagement, health, and science. Delivering research-based curriculum, the 4-H program mentors young people to become capable and compassionate adults through hands-on learning. Whether it be through a 4-H Club, camp, special interest group, school enrichment program, or afterschool program, 4-H provides opportunities for youth, ages 8-18 years old to learn, have fun and make friends. We also offer some activity-based programs for cloverbud youth ages 5-8 years old.
